Welcome to Uganda, the Pearl of Africa

Arrive at Entebbe International Airport. Our friendly Two Servants Tours and Safaris representative will meet you and provide a comfortable transfer to your hotel. Enjoy a relaxed evening to settle in and prepare for your adventure. Today marks the start of your safari, though this time is for you to relax and rejuvenate, getting your strength back from the long journey. If time allows and you wish, we can organise a leisurely stroll around Entebbe to introduce you to the beauty of Uganda.

Day 02 :

Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park & Evening Walking Safari

After breakfast, we will meet with a representative from Two Servants Tours and Safaris who will brief us on the safari. Subsequently, we will embark on a scenic drive to Lake Mburo National Park (approx. 5 hours drive). Along the way, we'll stop at the Equator for a fantastic photograph opportunity. Stand with one foot in the Northern Hemisphere and the other in the Southern Hemisphere – it's a great spot for memorable photos! Upon arrival, we'll proceed to the lodge for lunch. Following lunch, we will embark on an exhilarating evening walking safari amidst the whispers of nature. We will then enjoy dinner and spend the night at the lodge

Day 03 :

Game Drive and Boat Cruise

Begin the day with a refreshing cup of coffee or tea in the morning, then set out for an early game drive in the park. Lake Mburo is renowned for its large population of antelopes such as zebras, topis, impalas, and more. On fortunate days, leopards have been spotted. Return to the lodge for a delicious lunch, followed by an afternoon boat cruise on the lake, where you can observe hippos, the African finfoot bird, among others. Then, head back to the lodge for dinner.

Day 04 :

Cultural Day Encounter with Rurambira Community & Departure

Today is dedicated to an enriching cultural encounter with the Rurambira Community Conservancy. This community-led conservation initiative has 30 volunteer wildlife scouts from local communities who help address human-wildlife conflicts and act as conservation ambassadors.

First, embark on a two-hour journey through the heart of Ankole culture with "Cows & Milk: Unveiling the Essence of Ankole’s Rich Cultural Heritage." Experience the vibrant pulse of Ankole life as majestic cattle gather in the kraal, accompanied by herdsmen sharing tales amidst the clinking of gourds. Immerse yourself in the women’s domain, a cosy cultural hut resonating with stories and the tools used to craft milk products into tangy yoghurt and smoky delights. Learn about the special calabash, ekirere, smoked using local grasses to give the milk and ghee a distinctive aroma, integral to daily life.

Next, indulge in the enchanting world of Bahima cultural arts and crafts making. Learn ancestral secrets whispered into vibrant sisal pot covers, and explore a kaleidoscope of colours in intricate beaded jewellery and cowhide decorations. As you embellish scarves and knot threads, the women share stories of daily life. You'll leave with more than souvenirs – you'll learn a new skill and support local women artisans who preserve the cultural legacy of their community.

Afterwards, you can choose to explore the landscape and its communities by bike or on foot for two hours with a local guide. Cycle or walk through vibrant Bahima villages and along scenic trails as you view the majestic long-horned Ankole cattle and buffalo grazing together, or spot one of 350 species of birds that can be found in this landscape. Learn ancient cattle-herding traditions while sharing stories with local community members about the coexistence between wildlife, people, and their cattle. You will enjoy your lunch with the community members, making this a truly immersive day. Remember, every souvenir you make will be yours to take!

In the evening, we depart Lake Mburo. This marks the end of our Safari.
