Lake Mburo National Park is a compact jewel covering 260 km², ideally placed for a break between Kampala and western Uganda's protected areas. It boasts a mosaic of habitats, including savanna, acacia woodland, and lakes, supporting a wealth of diverse wildlife with 69 mammal species and 332 bird species. The park is unique for housing impalas, Burchell's zebras, and elands, which are rare or absent elsewhere in Uganda. Visitors can enjoy game viewing by vehicle, mountain bike, boat, on foot, and on horseback.
