Terms of Service

Your agreement to explore with us

Welcome to Two Servants Tours and Safaris Ltd, trading as Two Servants and TSTS (“Company”, “we”, “us” or “our”). We are a Ugandan company, registered with the Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) under registration number 80020001593213, and licensed by the Uganda Tourism Board (UTB) under licence number UTB/RTT/TT/2022/100317. Our Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) Tax Identification Number (TIN) is 1015292010.

Our address: Banga-Nakiwogo, P.O. Box 653, Entebbe, Uganda. We meet guests and partners by appointment only.

We operate the website https://twoservants.com (the “Site”), as well as any other related products and services that refer or link to these legal terms (the “Legal Terms”) (together, the “Services”).

We plan and run tours and trips in Uganda, including private safaris and cultural journeys for international visitors, gorilla and chimpanzee trekking, day trips, weekend getaways, corporate retreats and team building, and school trips. We also offer related travel services:

  • for international guests: help with tourist visas for Uganda, and help to arrange travel insurance;
  • for Ugandans travelling abroad: help with passport applications, tourist visa applications (mainly Schengen and United Arab Emirates (Dubai) tourist visas; we do not handle work visas), flight bookings and travel insurance.

The decision on any visa or passport application is made only by the embassy or government office concerned. We cannot promise that an application will be approved, and their fees are not refundable by us.

These Legal Terms are a legally binding agreement between you (personally or on behalf of a company, school or other organisation, “you”) and Two Servants Tours and Safaris Ltd, about your use of the Services and any trip you book with us. By using the Services or booking a trip, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Legal Terms. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH ALL OF THESE LEGAL TERMS, YOU MUST NOT USE THE SERVICES AND MUST STOP USING THEM IMMEDIATELY.

Extra terms or documents that we may post on the Services from time to time are part of these Legal Terms. We may change these Legal Terms at any time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above. If a change affects a trip you have already booked, we will tell you before it applies to you. Please check these Legal Terms from time to time. If you keep using the Services after a change is posted, you are treated as having accepted the change.

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Services or to make a booking. Children and young people under 18 are welcome on our trips when a parent, guardian, school or other responsible adult books for them and is responsible for them.

1. Our services

The information on the Services is not meant for anyone in a country where sharing or using it would be against the law, or would require us to register in that country. If you use the Services from outside Uganda, you do so by your own choice and you are responsible for following your local laws.

2. Bookings and trips

Open trips. Open trips are group trips with a set date, plan and price per person. Anyone can join, including solo travellers. An open trip only goes ahead when at least 10 travellers have booked.

Private trips. Private trips are planned only for your group (for example family, friends, a company or a school). The date, plan and pickup point are agreed with you.

Corporate trips. Corporate trips (team building, staff retreats, staff thank-you trips, end-of-year events and similar) are priced by quote only.

International journeys. Our journeys for international visitors are private trips for your own group. The sample journeys on our website can be changed to suit your dates, interests and budget, and your quote lists exactly what is included.

When your booking is confirmed. A booking request sent through our website, by email or on WhatsApp is not yet a booking. Your booking is confirmed when we have checked availability, received your deposit and confirmed the booking to you in writing.

Pickup. International journeys start and end at your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala, or at Entebbe International Airport, unless your quote says otherwise. Open trips pick up at Oryx Fuel Station, Lugogo, Kampala. You must arrive at least 30 minutes before the pickup time. Trips leave on time. If you arrive late and miss the trip, this is treated as a same-day cancellation. Private groups set their own pickup point when booking.

Transport and suppliers. We do not own vehicles. We hire vehicles and drivers from trusted transport partners for each trip. We also use local lodges, guides, parks and activity providers. We choose these partners with care, but they are independent businesses and are responsible for their own services.

Changes to a trip. We may need to change a trip plan because of weather, road conditions, park rules, safety or other events outside our control. We will always try to offer something of similar value.

3. Prices and payment

Prices. Prices on our website are “from” prices per person. International journeys are priced in US dollars (USD), based on two people sharing; the final price depends on your group size, dates and lodge choices and is confirmed in your quote before you pay. Trips for Uganda residents are priced in Uganda shillings (UGX). Local trips have three rates: East African citizens, foreign residents living in East Africa, and visitors from abroad. We may ask for proof of citizenship or residence. On trips for Uganda residents, children under 2 travel free, children aged 2 to 11 pay 70% of the adult price for their rate, and from 12 years the adult price applies. For international journeys, prices for children are given in your quote, and park rules set minimum ages for some activities. Group prices are agreed case by case.

Deposits.

  • International journeys: 30% of the trip price confirms your booking. Gorilla and chimpanzee permits are paid in full when you book. The balance is due 30 days before you arrive; if you book less than 30 days before arrival, the full price is due when you book.
  • Open trips: UGX 50,000 for day trips and UGX 100,000 for weekend getaways.
  • Private trips for Uganda residents: a deposit is needed to confirm the trip. The amount is shown in your quote.
  • Corporate trips: 30% of the trip price. Where park permits are needed, the full cost of the permits plus 30% of the rest of the trip price.

Balance.

  • International journeys: the balance is due 30 days before you arrive (see Deposits above).
  • Open trips: the balance can be paid at any time up to the pickup time.
  • Private trips for Uganda residents and corporate trips: the balance is due at least 2 weeks before the trip. A different payment plan can be agreed with us in writing.

How to pay. All payments must go to accounts registered to Two Servants Tours and Safaris:

  • MTN Mobile Money, merchant code 575709
  • Airtel Money, merchant code 4395402
  • Bank transfer to Diamond Trust Bank (DTB) Uganda. We send the account details with your booking confirmation. Please use your booking number as the payment reference. The sender pays all bank charges.
  • Debit or credit card (Visa, Mastercard) through Pesapal, our card payment provider.
  • Cheque, payable to TWO SERVANTS TOURS AND SAFARIS LTD, drawn on a bank in Uganda only. Your booking is confirmed when the cheque has cleared.

We will never ask you to pay to a personal phone number or personal bank account. We are not responsible for money paid to anyone other than the accounts listed above.

Park permits. Gorilla trekking and some park activities need permits from the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA). UWA requires full payment at the time of booking, and UWA’s own rules apply to permit changes and refunds.

4. Cancellations and refunds

If you cancel an international journey. Lodges, permits and other suppliers have their own cancellation rules, so the cancellation terms for your journey are set out in your quote and confirmed before you pay the deposit.

If you cancel a trip for Uganda residents (day trips, weekend getaways and similar).

  • 48 hours or more before the trip starts: we refund 80% of the amount you have paid.
  • Less than 48 hours before the trip, or on the day of the trip: no refund.
  • If you do not arrive for pickup, this is treated as a same-day cancellation.

Please send your cancellation by phone, WhatsApp or email. We use the time we receive your message.

If we cancel. If we cancel your trip for any reason, including when an open trip does not reach 10 travellers, we refund the full amount you have paid.

Third-party costs. Park permits and other items bought from third parties on your behalf follow the supplier’s own refund rules, which may be different from ours. We will tell you about these when you book. Gorilla and chimpanzee permits follow the Uganda Wildlife Authority’s own rules: once bought, they can usually not be refunded, and low-season permits cannot be moved to another date.

5. Your responsibilities on a trip

  • Give us correct information when you book (names, phone numbers, and any health or dietary needs we should know about).
  • Arrive on time with any documents needed for the trip, such as a national ID or passport.
  • Follow the instructions of your guide, driver and park staff, and respect local people, customs and wildlife.
  • Look after your own belongings.
  • Tell us before the trip about any health condition that may affect your safety.
  • For gorilla and chimpanzee permits, send us a clear copy of each traveller’s passport when you book. The Uganda Wildlife Authority needs it to issue the permits.

Travel insurance. We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers medical care, evacuation and cancellation, especially for safaris and gorilla or chimpanzee trekking. Most visitors from Europe already have it. If you do not, we can help you arrange it.

6. Trip photos

We take photos during our trips and share them with guests through Google Drive. We may use trip photos on our website, social media and other marketing. If you do not want to appear in photos we use publicly, you must tell us before the trip and we will respect your choice.

7. Intellectual property rights

We may use and share them in any media format and through any media channel. This licence includes our use of your name, company name and franchise name, as applicable, and any trademarks, service marks, trade names, logos and personal and commercial images you provide.

You are responsible for what you post or upload. By sending us Submissions and/or posting Contributions through any part of the Services, or by making Contributions available through the Services by linking your account to any of your social media accounts, you:

  • confirm that you have read and agree with our “Prohibited activities” and will not post, send, publish, upload or transmit any Submission or Contribution that is illegal, harassing, hateful, harmful, defamatory, obscene, bullying, abusive, discriminatory, threatening to any person or group, sexually explicit, false, inaccurate, deceitful or misleading;
  • as far as the law allows, give up any moral rights to any such Submission and/or Contribution;
  • promise that any such Submission and/or Contribution is your own original work, or that you have the rights and licences needed to submit it and full authority to give us the rights above; and
  • promise that your Submissions and/or Contributions are not confidential information.

You alone are responsible for your Submissions and/or Contributions, and you agree to repay us for any and all losses we may suffer because you break (a) this section, (b) any third party’s intellectual property rights, or (c) applicable law.

We may remove or edit your content. We do not have to monitor Contributions, but we may remove or edit any Contribution at any time without notice if we reasonably think it is harmful or breaks these Legal Terms. If we remove or edit a Contribution, we may also suspend or disable your account and report you to the authorities.
