Virtual reality games (Combatica)

What it is

Combatica is a virtual reality game system built by an Israeli technology company, and its first gaming park opened in Busiika in August 2025. You put on a VR headset and game gear, and your team plays action missions together in a virtual world while a park guide runs the game. The system has more than 50 scenarios and seven maps, and it keeps score, so teams can compare results at the end. The missions are combat-style games, so they suit groups who enjoy video games.

Where in Uganda

Extreme Adventure Park in Busiika, about 40 km north of Kampala. The park also has virtual car racing for anyone who prefers driving to missions.

What to expect

Sessions of about 10 or 20 minutes. The games are played indoors and run until 22:00, so they work on a rainy day or as the last activity of the day. Most groups combine them with go-karting, quad biking, the zipline or team games at the same park. We arrange the transport, the booking and the programme.

Activity level

Level 1, Relaxed. You stand and move around a small play area; no fitness is needed.

Good to know

• The park’s minimum age for the combat games is 12.
• Some people feel dizzy in virtual reality at first. Take off the headset if you feel unwell, and tell us beforehand about epilepsy or strong motion sickness.
• The system is sometimes paused for upgrades, so we confirm it is running before your day.
