Why you will love this trip

This is Uganda in full, in two unhurried weeks. You walk with rhinos at Ziwa, watch the whole Nile force its way through the gorge at Murchison Falls, track chimpanzees in Kibale, look down on crater lakes near Fort Portal and walk in the foothills of the Rwenzori, the Mountains of the Moon. In Queen Elizabeth you take a boat on the Kazinga Channel, and in Bwindi you spend one hour with a wild mountain gorilla family. The trip ends slowly, at Lake Bunyonyi and Lake Mburo.

Our idea is simple: wild places, warm people. On this trip there is a different local encounter every day. You cook luwombo at Ewaffe, paddle with community canoe men at Ziwa, share dinner with the Boomu Women’s Group, walk the Bigodi wetland with its village guides, meet Bakonzo hosts in the Rwenzori, Batwa guides in Bwindi and the Rurambira Community Conservancy near Lake Mburo. These visits are run by the communities and included in your price, so what you pay goes to your hosts.

You travel privately in a hired 4×4 safari vehicle with an experienced driver-guide, staying two or three nights in most places.
