Walk village paths with a local guide, meeting farmers, craftspeople and families, with fees that help pay for community projects.
A local guide from the village walks with you through farms, a market and craft workshops, and perhaps to a banana-beer brewer or a traditional healer, explaining daily life as you go. It is an easy way to meet people and understand the places around the national parks.
Buhoma (Bwindi), Bigodi (Kibale), Lake Bunyonyi, Sipi, and the crater lakes area near Fort Portal.
About 2 to 3 hours, as a small private group with a community guide. It fits well on a free afternoon after gorilla or chimpanzee tracking.
Level 2, Easy. Village paths, with some hills.
Price: Price on request.
