Watch hippos, crocodiles, elephants and water birds from a boat on the Kazinga Channel, the River Nile or Lake Mburo.
A guided boat trip along a river or lake shore, where animals come down to drink. You sit in a covered boat, so it is relaxed and suits almost everyone, including people who cannot walk far. Many travellers say it is their best wildlife hour of the whole trip.
The Kazinga Channel in Queen Elizabeth National Park, between Lake George and Lake Edward. The River Nile from Paraa to the bottom of Murchison Falls. Lake Mburo National Park. Sunset trips on Lake Victoria from Entebbe.
Most cruises last about 2 hours; the Murchison trip to the falls takes about 3 hours there and back. Park boats are shared with other visitors; in some places we can arrange a private boat. Expect hippos, crocodiles, buffalo, elephants and birds such as pelicans, fish eagles and kingfishers.
Level 1, Relaxed. You sit in the boat; there are a few steps to get on and off.
