Mabira is one of the largest rainforests left in central Uganda, on the road between Kampala and Jinja, near Lugazi. Our day trip goes to Griffin Falls Camp in the forest: you walk under tall trees with a local guide, cross the forest on the zipline, and cool off at Griffin Falls.

It is an easy escape from the city with plenty of fresh air. Archery and birdwatching can be added at the camp for a small extra cost.

Highlights

  • A guided walk in Mabira rainforest
  • The Mabira zipline over the forest
  • Griffin Falls, a forest waterfall
  • Optional archery and birdwatching
